You Know Yesterday Was a Bad Day for Mass Shootings When…

…the discovery of four people fatally shot, “execution style,” in the basement of a Philadelphia home and the fatal shooting of one person and wounding of four others on a downtown Denver street were shoved out of the headlines almost immediately when a gunman mowed down three people in a Chicago hospital.

But yes, by all means, let’s continue defending the constitution’s second amendment protection of gun rights that clearly anticipated that people would own guns as part of their responsibility as members of “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State” at a time when it was thought the country would have no standing army.
